Our programs are designed to meet the needs of youth ages 7-17 who are experiencing emotional, psychiatric and educational difficulties. In addition to our general psychiatric programs, we also offer specialty programs for youth with more serious challenges. Prefer experience with children and adolescents in a psychiatric facility or rehabilitation program.Demonstrates knowledge of risk factors for violence and determining potential for violent acting out and ability to assess suicidal/homicidal ideations.Good verbal and written skills, ability to rotate shifts and programs as necessary, ability to maintain confidentiality of resident information.The Registered Nurse is responsible for planning, directing, implementing, and evaluating all aspects of nursing care on assigned unit for residents ages 05-18. Adheres to Nursing Standards and Policies, Facility Policies and Procedures, the Nurse Practice Act, and maintain patient safety.Essential FunctionsNurse/Patient Relationship: Develops and maintains a therapeutic relationship throughout the healthcare continuum.Assuring/Improving Quality Care: Facilitates the patient and family's right to receive safe, quality, and cost effective care. Assists in creating an environment that promotes educational growth opportunities for nursing peers and colleagues.Nursing Process: Demonstrates the use of nursing process as a problem-solving model. Demonstrates a mastery of clinical skills related to patient's mental health and physical health needs.Leadership/Collaboration/Professional Development: Demonstrates respect and understanding for peers and other clinical disciplines and participates as an effective member of the patient care team to formulate an integrated approach to care.
