We are urgently seeking skilled Structural Iron Workers to join our small, efficient teams of 3-5 workers on commercial and industrial construction projects. The ideal candidate brings at least 2 years of experience in structural steel erection, vocational training in ironworking or construction, and OSHA safety certification. You will play a critical role in ensuring precision, safety, and teamwork throughout the steel erection process, with opportunities for skill development and certification growth.

Responsibilities

• Erect and install structural steel for commercial and industrial buildings
• Read and interpret blueprints, structural drawings, and erection plans
• Rig, hoist, position, and secure steel members using cranes and hoists
• Connect and bolt steel beams, columns, joists, decking, stairs, and handrails
• Perform structural welding as required
• Operate hand tools, power tools, impact guns, and torches safely
• Align steel members according to project specifications
• Work at heights using ladders, lifts, scaffolding, and fall-protection systems
• Assist with layout, fit-up, and installation of structural components
• Follow OSHA, company, and job-site safety protocols
• Maintain equipment and keep work areas tidy
• Collaborate closely with foremen, welders, crane operators, riggers, and crew members

Required Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of experience in structural steel erection
• Vocational training in ironworking or construction
• OSHA safety certification

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in structural welding and burning
• Knowledge of rigging and material-handling best practices
• Strong ability to work safely at heights
• Dependable, safety-conscious, and team-oriented mindset
