PRN Substitute CNA Classroom Assistant

We are seeking compassionate and dependable  Certified Nursing Assistants (CNAs) to provide substitute classroom support for students with medical and personal-care needs.

This is a classroom assistant position with some nursing-related responsibilities. The CNA will work alongside school staff to help students participate safely and comfortably throughout the school day.

Responsibilities

• Assist students with feedings by mouth.
• Provide toileting and personal-care assistance.
• Assist with safe transfers to wheelchairs and other adaptive equipment.
• Support students with daily activities in the classroom.
• Follow each student’s established care plan and safety procedures.
• Communicate effectively with teachers, nurses, and other school staff.
• Maintain students’ dignity, safety, and privacy.

Qualifications

• Current CNA certification in good standing.
• Current CPR certification.
• Pediatric experience preferred. 
• Experience assisting individuals with disabilities or complex medical needs is preferred.
• Comfortable providing toileting, feeding, mobility, and transfer assistance.
• Compassionate, dependable, patient, and able to work effectively in a classroom environment.
• Must successfully complete all required background checks and health screenings.

Position Details

• $21.00 to $23.00 an hr. DOE 
• PRN /substitute classroom coverage
• School-day hours
• Classroom-based setting
• Flexible scheduling based on coverage needs
