Dietary Cook, Part-Time Swing Shift

Position Summary

We are seeking a part-time Dietary Cook for a swing-shift position within our growing organization.

The Dietary Cook is responsible for preparing quality meals in accordance with applicable federal, state, and local standards, as well as the facility's established policies and procedures. This position works under the direction of the Food Service Director to ensure quality food service is provided at all times.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare meals in accordance with established menus, recipes, dietary requirements, and food-safety standards.
• Follow applicable federal, state, and local regulations, along with facility policies and procedures.
• Assist with and help direct daily or scheduled cleaning duties.
• Maintain a clean, safe, and sanitary food-service environment.
• Follow instructions provided by the Food Service Director.

Qualifications

• Previous experience cooking large quantities or completion of an appropriate training program is preferred.
• Must demonstrate patience, tact, enthusiasm, and a positive attitude when working with elderly individuals and individuals with disabilities.
• Must be able to speak, read, write, and understand English.
• Must be able to follow oral and written instructions.
• Must be at least 18 years of age.
• Must be able to perform the essential functions of the position.
