About the Position

Job Title: ICU Resource Team Registered Nurse Profession: Registered Nurse Specialty: Intensive Care Unit Duration: 13 weeks Shift: 12H Day/Night Rotate Hours per Shift: 36 hours per week Experience: Minimum of 2 years of experience in ICU License: Valid RN License in state of practice Certifications: BLS, ACLS, NIHSS Must-Have: Level 1 or Level 2 trauma experience with a facility of 250+ beds. Experience titrating vasopressor drips. Description: Cannot take travelers living within a 60-mile radius of the facility. Local travel rate applies for those living 60 to 80 miles from the facility. Candidate must call in each day prior to their shift to determine the critical care unit/location they will be working. Experience in managing 1-3 critically ill patients is required. Candidates must be able to manage varying patient populations including critically ill neuro, cardiac, CT surgery, trauma, medical, and surgical patients. Ability to manage titratable drips such as vasopressors, sedatives, analgesics, inotropics, and antiarrhythmics is essential. Candidates must assist with bedside procedures including RSI, EVD placement, tracheostomy, line placement, and other diagnostic tests. Experience with EPIC EMR, Omnicell Automated Dispensing Cabinet, IV pumps, feeding pumps, and patient monitoring systems is required. Two years of experience in a large hospital (over 250 beds) and level 1 trauma facility is necessary. Candidates must demonstrate the ability to care for critically ill patients independently. Every other weekend and holiday work is required. No call is required for this position. Clinicians may be required to float to all critical care departments and med-surg units as needed. Total of 32 hours of orientation will be provided. Nurse to patient ratio is 1 nurse to 2 patients. Scrub color is navy blue.
