Emergency Room Registered Nurse (RN) ER (Nights), College Station, TX
A Registered Nurse for the Emergency Room role will provide patient care in an acute care emergency setting during 12-hour night shifts. The position supports a high-acuity environment with responsibilities aligned to emergency care needs, including the management of common emergency infusions and medication drips. Candidates must bring their license on the first day.

Job Details

• Schedule: 12-hour nights; minimum 36.0 hours per week; every other weekend; first to float as needed
• Required Qualifications: Active RN license; Basic Life Support (BLS); Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS); Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS); Trauma Nursing Core Course (TNCC); National Institute of Health Stroke Scale (NIHSS); at least 2 years of experience; can function as a first-time traveler
• Preferred Qualifications: None specified
• Additional Information: Unit clinical prescreening is required; candidates may not have been directly employed (full time, part time, or PRN) by any facility associated with a specified healthcare network within the past year (PRN employment through outside firms is permitted); RN must pass Advanced Dysrhythmia (83%) prior to contract start, with three attempts allowed; call outs are strongly discouraged and could lead to termination; patient ratios are typically 1:34 depending on acuity; holds are intermixed within the ER and ER nurses care for holds; charge nurse assignments are generally patient-free; respiratory therapy is available in the ER and performs activities including arterial blood gases (ABGs) and breathing treatments, while RNs perform electrocardiograms (EKGs) and troubleshoot related equipment (e.g., nasal cannula through to vents); RNs read and interpret their own telemetry/monitor strips; transportation support is provided for X-ray and CT imaging; unit orientation includes 13 shifts dependent on experience and includes a checkoff packet with a preceptor
