The ideal candidate will conduct cost analyses and help identify cost reduction opportunities throughout the entire product life cycle from concept through development, production, and field operations. This position supports Client’s Future Vertical Lift team.Position Responsibilities:Performing varied simple to moderate analyses of aircraft systems including preparation of parametric, analogous, and detailed bottom-up cost estimatesSupporting design trade studies and cost reduction initiatives throughout the product life cycleSupporting supplier engagements with “Should Cost” analysis of aircraft systemsEvaluating part manufacturing processes for cost out opportunitiesEstablishing cost targets and reporting cost performance metrics for integrated product teamsEvaluating costs of equivalent supplier products for best valuePreparing Independent Cost Estimates (ICE) for proposal evaluationsPromoting standardization of cost engineering best practices across Bell programs*Position Requirements:2+ years of experience in a wide range of estimating activities is preferred but not requiredPrior experience working with U.S. government customers is preferredSpecific knowledge of one or more cost estimating software systems (True Planning, aPriori, SEER, etc.) is preferredAerospace and Defense experience in new product development, production, and sustainment is preferredStrong Microsoft Office skills (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.) are requiredStrong writing and presentation skills requiredEducation Requirements:Bachelor’s degree in engineering, Accounting, Economics or BusinessSRI Tech Solutions is an equal opportunity employer and does not discriminate on the basis of race, color, gender, religion, age, sexual orientation, national origin or citizenship status or ethnic origin, disability, marital status, veteran status, or any other occupationally irrelevant criteria.
