How you'll make an impact in this role Lead the preparation and maintenance of the sterile field to ensure a safe, infection-free environment for every surgical procedure. Anticipate the needs of the surgeon and surgical team by providing the correct instruments and supplies with speed and accuracy. Coordinate with the multidisciplinary team to streamline operative workflows, directly impacting patient safety and procedure efficiency. Maintain meticulous counts and equipment checks to uphold the highest standards of patient care and operational excellence. Support the post-operative transition by ensuring the surgical suite is expertly reset and ready for the next life-saving procedure. What minimum qualifications you'll need Licensure / Certification / Registration: Registered Nurse credentialed from the Kansas Board of Nursing obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date required. One or more of the following required: Advanced Life Support obtained within 6 Months (180 days) of hire date or job transfer date. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted. BLS Provider obtained within 1 Month (30 days) of hire date or job transfer date. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted. Pediatric Advanced Life Support preferred. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted. Education: Required professional licensure/certification AND 3 years of experience and 1 year of cumulative leadership experience required. What additional requirements you'll need Core Competency: 1+ year of professional experience in a surgical or operating room setting.
