Senior Geologist or Environmental Scientist

Your ImpactDevelop conceptual site models (CSMs) and remediation strategiesPrepare technical reports, including work plans, remedial action plans, site investigation reports, and closure documentationDrive projects through regulatory closure (RCRA, CERCLA, and State Lead)Design and implement in-situ remediation technologies (e.g., chemical oxidation, bioremediation, soil vapor extraction)Lead and support environmental site investigations and remediation Perform and oversee soil and groundwater sampling, logging, and site characterization activitiesSupport corrective action strategies, including remedy selection and performance monitoringPrepare technical reports, including work plans, remedial action plans, site investigation reports, and closure documentationInterpret and analyze geologic, hydrogeologic, and chemical data to support risk-based decision-making Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams and interface with clients, regulators, and subcontractorsEnsure compliance with environmental regulations, safety standards, and QA/QC procedures Conduct and oversee subsurface investigations (borings, monitoring wells, and trenching)Evaluate contaminant fate and transport in soil and groundwater systemsMentor junior staff and support project delivery executionWho You AreRequired QualificationsBachelor’s Degree in Geology, Hydrogeology, Engineering, Environmental Science, or related field5+ years of experience in environmental consultingDemonstrated experience with:Soil and groundwater remediationIn-situ treatment technologies including injectionsSite investigation and site closureReport WritingExperience with data analysis, interpretation, and QA/QC standardsAbility to work both independently and in team environmentsPreferred Qualifications Professional Geologist (PG) or ability to obtainPFOA/PFAS ExperienceExperience with RCRA Corrective Action, CERCLA Remedial Action and State Lead ProgramsProject management experience (scope, schedule, budgets)Familiarity with state-specific Midwest regulatory programs#LI-LD1About WSPWSP USA is the U.S. operating company of WSP, one of the world's leading engineering and professional services firms.
