Location Avera on Louise Health Campus Worker Type Regular Work Shift Day/Evening/Weekend/Holiday Shift (United States of America) Pay Range Actual pay rate dependent upon experience: $22.50 - $31.50 Position Highlights Open to experienced LPNs Responsibilities Assist in the pre-procedure, procedure, or post-procedure period under the supervision of a registered nurse, advanced practice RN, licensed physician, or other health care provider. Prepare the room for procedures in a timely fashion, including patient and equipment positioning. Maintain efficiency in handling equipment at physician’s request during procedures. Verify specimens with Physician and Registered Nurse. Achieve and maintain a working knowledge of equipment and tools; clean and maintain equipment. Keep stock and equipment inventories, including requisitions or forms for maintenance and repair. Collect data and conduct a focused nursing assessment of the patient’s health status. Participate with other health care providers in developing and modifying patient-centered health care plans; communicate and collaborate with patients and team members. Advocate for the best interest of patients and maintain safe and effective nursing care delivered directly or indirectly. Assist with health counseling and teaching. Implement, delegate, and assign nursing interventions to implement the plan of care and evaluate response to interventions. Qualifications Must be able to work the hours specified. Visual acuity and communication skills adequate to perform job functions. Ability to hear, understand, and distinguish speech and other sounds. Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) – active license in the state of practice. Completion of SGNA GI Associate’s Program within 1½ years of hire.
