Job Specification

Serve as a clinical leader and resource for the Oncology ICU nursing staff, providing guidance, mentorship, and support. Coordinate patient care activities to ensure quality, safety, and adherence to best practices in oncology and critical care. Facilitate communication and collaboration among the multidisciplinary team to enhance patient outcomes. Monitor and manage unit operations, including staffing, patient flow, and equipment availability. Implement and uphold hospital policies, procedures, and standards of care within the Oncology ICU.

Candidate Requirements

A Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) is required; a Master's degree in Nursing (MSN) or a related field is preferred. Current Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of Texas. Minimum of 3 years of clinical nursing experience in oncology or critical care, with at least 1 year in a leadership or coordinating role. Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certifications are required. Oncology Nursing Certification (OCN) or Critical Care Registered Nurse (CCRN) certification is preferred.
