Travel Surgical Tech/ORT - CVORTAmerican Traveler seeks a Surgical Tech/OR Tech with CVOR experience for a day-shift position at a Level IV Trauma Center teaching hospital.Level IV Trauma Center and major teaching hospital setting with 14 operating rooms and an average daily census of 253x12 day shift schedule, 6:45 AM-7:15 PM, weekdaysOn-call requirements include occasional weeknight call (7p-7a) and approximately one weekend per month (Saturday and Sunday until 11pm, call only)No floating requiredResponsibilities include scrubbing, circulating, and equipment documentationUses OR tables, yellow fin stirrups, battery operated equipment, and positioning aidsCharting via Cerner and AccudoseMinimum 2 years of experience requiredCVOR experience required including Abdominal Aortic Aneurysm Repair, Carotid Endarterectomy, Coronary Artery Bypass Graft, Mitral Valve Replacement, and Pericardial WindowGeneral surgery experience required including General, Endo/Laparoscopic, and Thoracic casesPreferred CVOR experience in Atherectomy, Atrial Septal Defect Repair, Cardiomyoplasty, Femoral Popliteal Bypass Graft, Robotic Assisted Cardiac Surgery, TAVR, and VADPreferred surgery experience in Vascular, Urology, and Ortho/Total JointsNBSTSA certification requiredBLS certification requiredWV or Compact OR Tech license required to start; pending license accepted for considerationFirst-time travelers accepted if they have required CVOR and general surgery scrubbing experienceCandidates must reside more than 100 miles from the facility; those between 75-99 miles may be considered case-by-caseOrientation held every other MondayFlu vaccine required during flu season (October 1-March 31) unless medical exemption is documentedCOVID vaccine not requiredFormer permanent employees must wait 2 years from their last permanent work date before returning as a travelerCurrent Vandalia Health System employees are not eligible for travel contracts within the health systemFree parking for travelersNo RTO restrictions
