Litigation Paralegal / Legal Assistant

Martenson Hasbrouck & Simon LLP (“MHS”) is a national law firm focusing on labor and employment defense and business litigation. MHS is based in Atlanta, with additional offices in Dallas, Chicago, New York, Orange County, Sacramento, and San Diego. MHS is seeking an experienced, self-motivated, and proactive full-time Paralegal/Legal Assistant for our Dallas office.Candidate must have strong organizational, communication, and multi-tasking skills with high attention to detail. Candidate should have knowledge of state and federal court e-filing systems (Pacer, etc.). Candidate should have a working understanding of legal concepts and terminology, ability to follow instructions, prioritize workload, and work equally well in an independent or team environment. Candidate must have Microsoft Office experience. A candidate who is bilingual (English/Spanish) is a plus. This position will require the successful candidate to report to the office to work in person.Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:Calculating, calendaring, and monitoring litigation and administrative deadlinesOrganizing and maintaining electronic files for threatened litigation, administrative charges, and lawsuitsPreparing, revising, proofreading, and formatting pleadings, correspondence, and other legal documentsCorresponding with courts, clients, local counsel, and opposing counselManaging document productionsFiling in both state and federal courts and with administrative agenciesAssisting in preparation for depositions, mediations, settlement conferences, and hearingsGeneral office coordination including preparing expense reports, processing incoming and outgoing mail, arranging attorney travel, coordinating office meetings, monitoring and ordering supplies, and assisting with new employee onboarding.Martenson, Hasbrouck & Simon LLP is an equal opportunity employer.Candidate should have 2+ years of related legal experience with a bachelor’s degree and/or paralegal certificate.Competitive salary401(k) employer matchingMedical, dental & vision insurancePaid time-offReferral program #J-18808-Ljbffr
