Senior Cloud Security Engineer

Location: Whitehouse Station, NJ or Philly - Hybrid Duration: 6 months

Job description We are looking for a Senior Cloud Security Engineer with 7+ years of experience and knowledge in engineering security solutions. Essential functions include:

• Ensuring security best practices as adhered to in the cloud infrastructure.
• Developing and implementing security automation into deployment pipelines and tooling.
• Defining and managing network, infrastructure, and service security within the cloud deployments.
• Conducting POC for cloud security solutions by any third party or cloud native services.
• Acting as the ambassador and senior technical representative for Enterprise Security while engaging with other cloud engineering teams in design and implementation of cloud solutions.
• Partnering with Engineering, Infrastructure Services, and Application Development organizations to choose appropriate technology solutions and facilitates complete integration into the company environments.
• Creating security engineering deliverables based on high-level directives and principles to meet project requirements and timelines.
• Producing high-quality security engineering specifications and technical documentation.
• Ensuring security tools are deployed with appropriate security policies and rules to manage security risk, feed events to the corporate SIEM and minimize impact to systems and users.
• Staying current with industry trends in the information security space.

Required skills/experience include:

• 7+ or more years of experience with Cloud Security Engineering.
• 5 or more years of experience with cloud platforms such as Azure, AWS, or GCP.
• Programming experience with languages such as Python, Java, Scala, etc.
• Experience in security best practices and solutions in Azure, AWS, or Google.
• Experience with the DevSecOps principles and processes.
• Familiarity with Security in serverless architecture and application designs.
• Familiarity with continuous integration tools (Jenkins, Git, etc.)
• Familiarity with comprehensive and broad set of security technologies and processes (secure software development, data protection, cryptography, key management, and network security) within SaaS, IaaS, PaaS, and other cloud environments.
• Familiarity with common and industry standard cloud-native authentication mechanisms (OAuth, OpenID, etc.)
• Strong written and oral skills.
