Operations ManagerAuto Driveaway, one of the largest professional driveaway companies in the US, is seeking an energetic, safety-focused Operations Manager to run daily operations at our Jacksonville, FL location. You'll lead the onsite team, own how the location performs, and build the kind of experience it takes to run a business, from managing a P&L to keeping customers happy.Auto Driveaway is a leading national provider of professional vehicle relocation services. We primarily serve large corporate fleets, fleet management companies, upfitters, dealerships, and vehicle and truck OEMs with fast, safe, and reliable door-to-door driveaway service nationwide. We accomplish this with a personalized customer experience, an unwavering commitment to safety, and a national network of professional drivers, ensuring quality, accountability, and reliability on every trip.If you've run a store, a restaurant, or a small warehouse, you already know the core of this job: lead a team, keep customers happy, and solve whatever the day brings. You don't need a background in vehicle transportation. Our systems, paperwork, and industry rules are all learnable, and we'll train you on them. What we're really after is a strong, hands-on manager who takes pride in running a tight operation.This is a salaried, Monday-to-Friday, 8-to-5 role.What you'll ownLead and motivate your onsite team, from your logistics coordinator to our professional driversPlan the day: evaluate incoming pickup and delivery requests and assign the right drivers to meet client needsKeep customers updated on timing and keep every job on trackInspect vehicles coming in and going out, identify any defects, and get the right services (detail, preventative maintenance, body repair) approved and completedTrack and manage all active vehicle services in our cloud-based system (we'll train you on it)Build and manage relationships with local service vendors to keep quality highComplete title and registration work at the DMV on behalf of Auto Driveaway and our clientsReview daily reports in Excel to find where the location can run better, and put action plans in place to close service gapsEnsure compliance with all FMCSR, state, and local regulations, and keep company and customer assets secureManage drivers within company personnel policies, and help with emergency contingency planningSafely operate company and client vehicles as neededWhat you bringExperience leading and developing a team, in retail, food service, warehouse, or a similar hands-on environmentThe ability to multitask, set priorities, and complete work thoroughly and accuratelyStrong management, people, and communication skillsComfort in Excel and the ability to pick up new software quicklyA customer-service mindset and solid problem-solving instinctsA positive attitude and a real sense of urgencyAble to travel 2 to 3 times a year for meetingsAn active driver's license and a clean motor vehicle record (MVR)Why people take this jobYou run the location and set the pace onsite, with real ownership of how it performsYou build hands-on business-management experience: P&L, operations, team leadership, and customer relationshipsMonday to Friday, 8 to 5Casual, collaborative environmentBase salary plus quarterly and annual performance incentivesBenefits include:Health, Dental and Vision Insurance401(k) with Company MatchPaid Vacation and Wellbeing DaysLife InsuranceAuto Driveaway maintains a smoke-free work environment in accordance with company policy and applicable law.Auto Driveaway participates in E-Verify to confirm employment eligibility.
