Senior Fund Accountant - Assistant Controller

A well-established Venture Capital firm that invests in Real Estate, Tech, and Growth start-ups is looking to bring on an ASSISTANT CONTROLLER/Senior Fund Accountant due to growth. Ideally, this candidate will be able to manage the day-to-day accounting, financial reporting, and operations for a diverse and ever-evolving portfolio, including a Master-Feeder hedge fund structure (with SPVs), a Fund of Funds, private venture/real estate funds, and various family office investment entities.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Lead the annual financial statement preparation and complex year-end close processes. Manage external audit workflows as the primary liaison, prepare monthly accruals, and support regulatory filings and compliance mandates. Data Integrity & Operations Conduct rigorous monthly and quarterly reconciliations of trial balances, P&L, pricing, and positions against fund administrator records. Execute quarterly valuation processes and investment reporting. Investor Relations & Capital Activities Calculate partner allocations and collaborate with Investor Relations to generate accurate monthly and quarterly investor performance reports. Partner with Operations to manage capital activities, distributions and withdrawals.

THE PERSON

Qualifications & Attributes Bachelor’s degree in Accounting required; CPA required. 5-7 years of blended accounting experience. Must possess a foundation in Big 4 public accounting, followed by proven, subsequent in-house fund accounting experience (Hedge Fund, PE, or Fund of Funds). Strong proficiency in investor allocations, performance reporting, and private investment valuations. Experience with Advent Geneva (or similar fund accounting software) and regulatory filings (e.g, Form ADV) is highly preferred. #J-18808-Ljbffr Green Key Resources
