Open Source Software Engineer - GitHub Contributor | AI Coding Project

We are looking for experienced Open Source Software Engineers with strong GitHub contributions to support an advanced AI training and evaluation project.

This opportunity is ideal for engineers who have contributed to real-world open-source projects and are comfortable working with complex codebases, debugging, architecture, and software evaluation.

About the Role

As an Open Source Contributor , you will contribute your software engineering expertise to help improve AI systems.

The role involves exploring repositories, implementing solutions, reviewing code, debugging issues, and evaluating software engineering tasks across different technology stacks.

What You’ll Do

Explore and understand unfamiliar open-source repositories
Implement, modify, and debug front-end and back-end components
Analyze software architecture, APIs, services, libraries, and dependencies
Reproduce software issues and identify root causes
Implement solutions aligned with existing project standards
Write unit, integration, regression, and end-to-end tests
Review AI-generated code changes for correctness, security, and maintainability

Required Skills

Strong programming experience in one or more:

Python
Java
Rust
Go
TypeScript
C++
Other programming languages used in substantial open-source projects

Additional requirements:

Public or verifiable GitHub profile
Meaningful contributions to open-source repositories
Ability to understand and modify existing codebases
Strong software engineering fundamentals
