Position Overview

We are hiring a reliable and detail-oriented Cage Cashier to support daily casino cage operations. This position is responsible for accurate cash handling, financial transactions, guest service, and maintaining compliance with established gaming regulations and internal controls.

The ideal candidate will have previous casino cage experience, strong attention to detail, and the ability to provide friendly and professional service in a fast-paced gaming environment.

Responsibilities

Cage Operations & Financial Transactions

• Perform routine cage transactions, including cash and chip exchanges, TITO ticket redemptions, jackpots, marker payments, and check cashing.
• Count, verify, and balance assigned cage banks at the beginning and end of each shift.
• Accurately record transactions using cage management systems and complete required documentation.
• Prepare count sheets, payment vouchers, chip transfers, jackpot documentation, and transaction logs.
• Learn and rotate through various cage functions, including Main Bank, Chip Bank, and team member windows, as needed.

Asset Protection & Compliance

• Follow established cash-handling procedures, key controls, internal controls, and security requirements.
• Maintain accountability for assigned cash, coin, chips, and other monetary instruments.
• Identify and promptly report discrepancies, shortages, or irregularities to management.
• Accurately identify and document required Title 31 transactions, including CTR, MTL, and MIL reporting.
• Follow all applicable gaming regulations, departmental policies, and compliance procedures.

Guest Service & Team Support

• Provide friendly, professional, and efficient service to guests.
• Assist with routine questions regarding cage transactions and escalate concerns when appropriate.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and secure work area.
• Work collaboratively with management and fellow team members to support smooth daily operations.
• Demonstrate reliability, integrity, professionalism, and adaptability in a fast-paced environment.
• Perform additional duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 21 years of age.
• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Minimum of 1 year of cash-handling or customer service experience within a casino cage environment.
• Ability to accurately operate 10-key adding machines, computer systems, and standard office equipment.
• Strong attention to detail with the ability to follow established procedures and controls.
• Professional demeanor with a strong focus on guest service and teamwork.
• Ability to learn and comply with gaming regulations, Title 31 requirements, internal controls, and departmental procedures.
• Flexibility to work varying schedules, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
• Ability to obtain and maintain a valid Nevada Gaming Registration card.
• Must be able to successfully complete required background screening and drug testing.

Physical Requirements

• Ability to stand for extended periods.
• Ability to lift, carry, and move up to 50 lbs. of cash, coin, or chip inventory, with or without assistance.
• Ability to bend, kneel, crouch, reach, and perform other movements required for daily operations.
• Ability to handle currency, operate equipment, and complete documentation throughout the shift.
• Ability to work in a casino environment where smoke and moderate-to-loud noise may be present.
