Occupational Therapist

Shift: Days

Assignment Details:

• Guaranteed Hours: 40
• Contract Length: 13 weeks

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree required; Master's or Doctorate preferred
• Licensed as an Occupational Therapist in the state
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification preferred
• Prior experience in a long-term care or skilled nursing facility preferred

Roles & Responsibilities:

• Collaborate with residents and care providers to deliver occupational therapy services, promoting independence in daily activities.
• Conduct evaluations and develop therapeutic plans of care with defined goals.
• Provide activities of daily living (ADL) training and assist residents with personal hygiene, mobility, and positioning.
• Monitor treatment efficacy and adjust plans to meet established functional goals.
• Document all interactions and progress in the EMR, ensuring accessibility for the care team.
• Recommend and instruct residents on the use of assistive devices.
• Supervise assistant-level staff as appropriate and mentor new staff during orientation.
