Construction Litigation Attorney

Job Overview A law firm seeks a Construction Litigation Attorney in Bloomfield Hills, MI. This role offers the opportunity to engage in sophisticated litigation matters, focusing on construction law, while collaborating with experienced litigators in a supportive environment. Duties Manage all phases of litigation, from pleadings through discovery, depositions, motion practice, and hearings. Draft persuasive legal briefs and motions and conduct in-depth legal research. Collaborate with attorneys across practice groups to deliver strategic, client-focused solutions. Build and maintain strong client relationships while contributing to business development efforts. Requirements 3-7 years of litigation experience, with a preference for construction law experience. Additional experience in employment, transportation, or education law is a plus. Proven ability to handle complex litigation matters independently and as part of a team. Excellent legal research, writing, and oral advocacy skills. A client-first mindset with demonstrated experience interacting directly with clients. Strong analytical, interpersonal, and organizational skills. Education J.D. from an ABA-accredited law school. Certifications Active membership in good standing with the State Bar of Michigan. Skills Comfort learning and working with new legal technology and software systems.
