Project Manager

We’re Hiring: Project Manager, Heavy Civil | Smithfield (Greenville), RI The Fordy Group is partnering with a well-established, family-operated heavy civil contractor to hire an experienced Project Manager in Smithfield (Greenville), Rhode Island. With more than 60 years of experience across New England, our client delivers major bridge, highway, utility, culvert, dam and infrastructure projects. They’ve built a strong reputation for quality, safety and long-term employee development. The Role You’ll manage heavy civil projects from preconstruction through completion. You’ll own project planning, coordination, financial performance, client relationships and delivery, working closely with Superintendents, field teams, subcontractors, engineers, suppliers and clients. What You’ll Do Manage heavy civil projects from preconstruction through closeout Oversee budgets, schedules, contracts, cost tracking and forecasting Partner with Superintendents and field teams to drive strong execution Manage subcontractors, suppliers, engineers, inspectors and clients Review plans, specifications, contracts and construction documents Handle RFIs, submittals, change orders, pay applications and documentation Lead project meetings and keep stakeholders informed Identify risks early and resolve issues Ensure safety, quality, schedule and contract requirements are met Support estimating and preconstruction on upcoming work What You Bring Proven Project Manager experience in heavy civil construction Background in bridges, highways, roads, utilities or major infrastructure Strong grasp of budgets, schedules, contracts and cost controls Ability to read and interpret civil plans, specs and contract documents Experience working with owners, inspectors, engineers and field teams Strong leadership, communication and problem-solving skills BS in Civil Engineering, Construction Management or equivalent experience What’s On Offer Up to $150,000 base salary + performance-based bonus 401(k) with company match Paid time off Long-term career growth with a respected, family-operated New England contractor On-site | Smithfield (Greenville), RI #J-18808-Ljbffr The Fordy Group
