Job Summary:
Interventional Radiology (IR) Technologist position located in Seattle, Washington. This role involves working in a specialized unit that handles procedures such as chemo delivery, gastrointestinal bleeds, vein sampling, and phase 2 recovery. The position requires adherence to safety and procedural standards within a busy clinical environment, supporting both inpatient and outpatient services.
Job Details:
- Schedule: 10-hour shifts, 0700-1730, with a minimum of 40 hours per week
- Required Qualifications: Certified in Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) and Basic Life Support (BLS); 1 year of related clinical experience; capable of working in a fast-paced interventional radiology setting
- Preferred Qualifications: Experience with Adrenal Angiography, Angioplasty, Chemoembolization, Embolization, ERCP, IVC filter placement and removal, Liver Biopsy, Mesenteric Angiogram, Paracentesis, Stent Placement, Thoracentesis, and other interventional procedures
- Certifications: ACLS, BLS
- Special Procedures/Unit Details:
- Staff will assist with complex vascular and interventional procedures
- Equipment setup and sterile technique are critical for success
- Must be comfortable with medication systems like Pyxis and documentation via the EPIC system
- Patient Care: Support diverse patient age groups including adolescents, adults, pediatrics, and geriatrics, with a focus on safety and procedural accuracy
- Additional Information:
- The role requires submitting two references covering at least one year within the last three years, including Charge RNs or Lead RNs if available
- Module completion in Workramp is necessary, averaging approximately 16 hoursover 20 hours requires prior approval
