Job Description

A Day in the Life 

• This position will lead the meal service at MCHC as well as support the management team at Munson Medical Center-OMH. Ability to effectively communicate policies, and/or procedures in a manner easily understood by fellow employees.

• Serves as a working leader, coordinating activities of workers and service employees engaged in food operations. 

• Assists in ensuring a safe working environment throughout the facility for all employees. 

• Assists in monitoring employee productivity and provides suggestions for increased service or productivity.

• Assists in the supervision of day-to-day activities of subordinates and assigns responsibility for specific work or functional activities.

• Orients and trains employees.

• Performs day to day assignments in addition to lead duties.

• Works with customers to ensure satisfaction in such areas as quality, service, and problem resolution.

• Performs other duties and responsibilities as assigned.

Qualifications

What’s Required

• High School diploma or GED or equivalent experience. 

• A minimum of 3 years progressively more responsible experience in the institutional food service industry. Supervisory or leadership experience a plus.
