Website: What We’re Looking For We are seeking a Part‑Time Center Manager to oversee the daily operations, programming, participant engagement, and administrative coordination of a senior community center operated in partnership with Enterprise Management Solutions, LLC. This role is ideal for an organized, compassionate, and community‑focused professional with experience in nonprofit operations, senior services, community programming, volunteer coordination, participant support, and administrative oversight. The Center Manager will work collaboratively with organizational leadership and community stakeholders to ensure the center operates efficiently while maintaining a welcoming, engaging, and safe environment for participants. What You’ll Do Daily Operations & Participant Support Open and close the facility according to the weekly operating schedule Maintain a safe, clean, organized, and welcoming environment for participants and visitors Greet and support senior participants while promoting a respectful and inclusive atmosphere Monitor and maintain participant attendance records and sign‑in logs Coordinate daily meals and snacks in collaboration with local food service providers and community programs Respond to participant concerns and ensure compliance with safety procedures and operational guidelines Monitor day‑to‑day operational activities to ensure the center remains participant‑focused and community‑oriented Program Development & Community Engagement Plan and coordinate engaging daily, weekly, and seasonal activities for senior participants Coordinate guest speakers, wellness programs, arts and crafts activities, cultural events, fitness programming, and educational workshops Build and maintain relationships with community partners including local schools, churches, civic groups, volunteers, and service providers Conduct participant surveys and gather feedback to support future programming and engagement efforts Promote community participation and encourage social interaction among participants Support outreach initiatives designed to strengthen community awareness and participation Sustainability & Resource Development Work collaboratively with leadership to identify funding opportunities, grants, donor outreach initiatives, and community support efforts Track participation data and program outcomes to support fundraising efforts and grant reporting Promote the center through newsletters, social media, community outreach, flyers, and public engagement efforts Maintain a directory of local senior services and connect participants with outside resources as appropriate Volunteer & Staff Coordination Oversee part‑time staff, aides, and volunteers assigned to the center Conduct basic orientations and ensure all personnel follow organizational procedures and expectations Maintain a supportive and collaborative team environment Support volunteer recruitment, retention, scheduling, and engagement efforts Administrative Support Maintain updated participant rosters and emergency contact information Submit operational updates, activity reports, and attendance records to leadership as requested Assist with meeting preparation, communications, and special projects Support record‑keeping, expense tracking, supply inventory management, and administrative organization Ensure documentation standards and reporting expectations are maintained consistently Reporting & Oversight Accurately clock in and clock out at the start and end of each shift using the organization’s designated tracking system Complete End‑of‑Shift Reports summarizing activities, visitor counts, incidents, concerns, and operational updates Submit hours worked in accordance with payroll procedures and deadlines Report maintenance, safety, operational, or participant concerns to leadership as appropriate Support operational continuity and communicate emerging concerns in a timely and professional manner Work Schedule Part‑time schedule averaging approximately 20 hours per week. Scheduling needs may vary based on center activities, community events, outreach efforts, participant needs, meetings, seasonal programming, and operational demands. Occasional evening or weekend availability may be required for events, outreach activities, or special programming. Travel Requirements Minimal local travel may occasionally be required for community outreach, meetings, events, or program coordination No routine travel required No additional travel compensation provided Compensation Up to $25.00 per hour, commensurate with experience and qualifications Stable part‑time employment opportunity within a mission‑driven organization Education, Certifications, & Qualifications Bachelor’s degree preferred in Human Services, Gerontology, Nonprofit Management, Public Health, Social Services, Community Development, or a related field. Master’s degree preferred. Equivalent combinations of education, nonprofit administration experience, community programming experience, or senior services experience may be considered. Minimum of 2 years of experience in community‑based programming, senior services, nonprofit administration, or a related environment Demonstrated ability to interact professionally, compassionately, and effectively with older adults Strong organizational, communication, interpersonal, and time‑management skills Self‑motivated, dependable, and capable of working independently with limited supervision Proficiency with basic technology tools including email, word processing, spreadsheets, calendars, and electronic reporting systems Ability to manage multiple priorities while maintaining professionalism and participant engagement Experience coordinating volunteers, activities, events, or community partnerships preferred Experience with grant support, fundraising coordination, outreach, or nonprofit reporting preferred Ability to maintain confidentiality and professionalism in all operational and participant‑related matters Background check required prior to employment Working Conditions Work is performed primarily in a community‑based senior center environment Position requires frequent interaction with senior participants, volunteers, staff, leadership, community partners, and visitors Must be able to work in a fast‑paced and participant‑focused environment May involve occasional evening or weekend activities depending on operational and community needs Must maintain professionalism and a welcoming presence while handling participant concerns, scheduling needs, operational issues, and administrative responsibilities Physical Demands Ability to move throughout the facility and assist with daily operational activities as needed Ability to occasionally lift, move, or transport chairs, tables, activity supplies, office materials, or storage bins Ability to occasionally lift or carry items up to 25 pounds Ability to communicate effectively with participants, staff, volunteers, community members, and leadership Ability to manage multiple responsibilities and operational priorities in a community setting Why Work With Enterprise Management Solutions, LLC Opportunity to make a meaningful impact in the lives of senior citizens and the surrounding community Supportive, mission‑driven operational environment Flexible part‑time schedule Opportunity to help strengthen senior programming, outreach, and community engagement Collaborative leadership environment focused on operational excellence and community support Meaningful role supporting health, wellness, independence, and social connection for older adults How to Apply Qualified candidates are invited to submit their resume and qualifications for consideration.
