Sales Coordinator

Job Details Job Location: Homewood Suites Downtown Corpus Christi - CORPUS CHRISTI, TX 78401 Sales Coordinator Job Description Must be proficient in Microsoft Office Must be able to type a minimum of 35 wpm Answer phones Site visits with prospective clients Utilize Sales Pro to book and contract groups and events Attend sales meetings as needed Cover Breakfast/Evening reception rotation Represents the hotel at events hosted by local organizations Negotiate group bookings for groups 10 rooms and under peak night Handle rooming lists, tax exemptions, invoices and room assignments for all groups Create all groups in R&I Load and update local negotiated rates Submit Event Planner Points for Groups and Events Update Preferred rates list Prepare weekly group resumes and distribute to Front Desk and update staff on pertinent details Create banquet tickets and door cards for all meetings and events Post banquet and group actuals in SalesPro and OnQ Create Proposals upon request for CVB/Sports leads Send follow ups on contracts and final counts for Groups and Meetings Handle and coordinate Group bookings associated with Meetings and Events, work directly with the Director of Sales to secure details Open and Close Group and House accounts weekly, check for any discrepancies Collect, post and drop all deposits related to Groups and Events Attend weekly BEO meetings and offer input/ information on details of event Assist Banquets team with set up/serving as needed Assist Walk-Ins and conduct tours if DOS and SEM is not available Shadow Sales Calls as requested by DOS Send Meeting Planner Surveys Research competitor websites on a regular basis Submit Pick up Requests given by the CVB Maintain Tax Exemption certificates for all tax-exempt events Mail out Lost and Found items Make employee name tags and other labeling needs Post flyers and notices in back office, break room, kitchen as assigned, i.e. team rally, trainings, events, SALT scores, etc. Prepare, mail out and track gift certificates Cover front desk as needed Other administrative tasks as needed Qualifications #J-18808-Ljbffr
