The SeniorBuyer willassurecompliancewithcompanypolicies,applicablegovernmentregulationsandlawsandthehigherofethicalstandardswhileestablishingsourcesforqualityconformingmaterialsandserviceswithcompetitivepricingandtimelydeliveries.TheSeniorBuyerpersonwillcontinuallyseeknewandalternativeideas,products,andmaterialswhoseadoptionmightimprovecompanyefficiencyandprofitability.Thispersonwillsupportthedevelopmentofnewcompanyproductsbyinvolvingsuppliersintheinitialdesign. Responsibilities Analyzeandprocessinventoryandnon-inventory(sometimesreferredtoas"Non-Production")requisitionstodeterminetheappropriatesourceofsupply Performpurchaseorderadministrationtoassuretimelydeliveriesofproductsandservices Conducttheappropriatelevelofprice/costanalysistoobtainthemostfavorableeconomicpurchase.Costreductionswillbecritical.Thispositionwilltaketheleadonnon-inventoryactivities Maintaindatabaseforassignedsupplierstoassuredatabaseintegritywhileensuringsuppliers Requirements 2-yearAssociate's Degreewithskillssufficienttomeetrequiredcompetenciesataminimum Minimumoffiveyearsprogressivelyresponsiblepurchasingrelatedexperiencesinamanufacturingenvironment Immediateknowledgelevelofpurchasingprinciples,computertechniquesandmanufacturingprocessesrequired Preferred Competencies 4-yearCollegedegree ExperiencewithMfgPro/QAD/MQ1 AdvancedMicrosoftExcelExperience #J-18808-Ljbffr
