Description

American Traveler is hiring a travel RN for a Progressive Care Unit (PCU) position requiring at least 1 year of experience, working night shifts on a 12-week contract.

Details

• Hospital Progressive Care Unit (PCU) setting
• Night shift schedule: 3x12-hour shifts (7:00 PM – 7:30 AM)
• Every other weekend required
• No on-call responsibilities
• Floating within the facility and scope of practice as needed
• 12-week contract length

Requirements

• Active GA RN license or Compact RN license required
• Minimum 1 year of PCU or comparable nursing experience required
• All applicable certifications must be current and available for consideration

Additional Information

• First-time travelers are welcome to apply
• Local candidates are accepted for this position
• RTO is capped at 7 days and may not be requested during the first week of the assignment
• If one or two major holidays fall within the assignment period, travelers are expected to work those holidays with no RTO allowed on holiday dates; if three major holidays fall within the assignment period, travelers are expected to work two of them
• Major holidays include: Memorial Day, Independence Day, Labor Day, Thanksgiving/Black Friday, Christmas Eve/Christmas Day, and New Year's Eve/New Year's Day
• No alternate shift or schedule change requests are permitted — the posted night shift is firm
• Travelers must have been away from all facilities within this health system for a minimum of 1 full year before returning as a traveler
• Full compliance with onboarding requirements is required to start on time; delays may result in a 2-week pushback due to a bi-weekly orientation schedule
