Registered Nurse – Utilization Review (Nursing) Aurora, CO — 6 Months Location: Colorado Military Health System – Buckley AFB and Peterson AFB. Labor Category: Registered Nurse – Utilization Management Current POP ends 11/30/25. TO POP ends 11/30/27. This assignment is a year-long commitment. Shorter contracts will not be considered. Recognized Holidays: Contract HCWs will not be required to work on federally recognized holidays. Hours of Performance/Schedule: Buckley Space Force Base, Monday through Friday, 0730-1630. Hours are subject to change and may include nights and weekends. In the event the HCW is required to work beyond their scheduled duty hours for any reason, the duty hours will be adjusted within the current pay period; the HCWs shall not work more than 40 hours per week. Tele-health/work from home is not an option. HCWs performing under this task order shall have proof of U.S. Citizenship. Minimum Qualifications Education: BSN Certifications: BLS Certified/certification eligible in relevant specialty, such as Certified Managed Care Nurse through the American Board of Managed Care Nurses; Certification in Health Care Quality and Management (HCQM) through American Board of Quality Assurance and Utilization Review Physicians (ABQARP), Certified Informatics Nursing, Ambulatory Care Nursing, Medical-Surgical Nursing or Nursing Case Management through the American Nurses Credentialing Center or Utilization Management Accreditation through National Committee for Quality Assurance (NCQA) are desired. Experience: Minimum of 36 months total nursing experience in a direct patient care clinical setting. Must have utilization management, utilization review or case management experience for 12 recent consecutive months. Licensure: Current, full, active, and unrestricted license to practice as a Registered Nurse Core Duties Coordinate patient care in collaboration with a wide array of healthcare professionals. Facilitate the achievement of optimal outcomes in relation to clinical care, quality and cost effectiveness. Ensure compliance with standards of care and practice in accordance with all established policies, procedures, and guidelines used in the MTF. Perform physical exam and health histories. Provide health promotions, counseling, and education. Administer medications, wound care, and numerous other personalized interventions.
