QC Chemical Laboratory Technician

Location: Cincinnati, OH

Pay Rate: $ 20.00/hour

Employment Type: Full-Time | Contract

Schedule: Monday–Friday | Flexible start time between 6:00 AM – 9:00 AM

Position Overview

We are seeking a QC Chemical Laboratory Technician to support quality control operations within a pharmaceutical chemistry laboratory in Cincinnati, OH. This role provides hands-on laboratory support for routine testing, documentation, equipment maintenance, sample handling, and overall lab operations while ensuring compliance with GMP, GLP, SOP, and safety standards.

This is an excellent opportunity for candidates with a background in chemistry, biology, physical sciences, or laboratory environments who are looking to gain experience in pharmaceutical quality control.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support QC analysts with routine laboratory activities, including in-process testing, finished product testing, stability samples, and laboratory projects.

  • Prepare laboratory solutions, including diluents and mobile phases.

  • Clean and maintain laboratory glassware, equipment, and work areas.

  • Perform instrument calibrations and verification checks as needed.

  • Maintain accurate laboratory documentation following pharmaceutical industry standards.

  • Collect and dispose of pharmaceutical waste, including solvents, samples, and laboratory materials.

  • Track, receive, and maintain laboratory supplies, solvents, glassware, and inventory.

  • Assist analysts with instrument setup, cleanup, and laboratory preparation.

  • Support safety programs, audits, and compliance activities.

  • Follow all SOPs, cGMPs, GLPs, safety guidelines, and company procedures.

  • Communicate effectively with QC, manufacturing, and other internal teams.

Qualifications

  • Degree in Physical Science preferred (Chemistry, Biology, or related field).

  • Laboratory experience preferred but not required.

  • Basic understanding of laboratory techniques, instrumentation, and chemical analysis.

  • Ability to read and interpret technical procedures and regulations.

  • Strong attention to detail and documentation skills.

  • Ability to multitask and prioritize workload in a fast-paced environment.

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.

  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Preferred Skills

  • Experience working in a pharmaceutical, biotechnology, or regulated laboratory environment.

  • Knowledge of GMP, GLP, and quality documentation practices.

  • Familiarity with laboratory equipment and chemical handling procedures.

  • Strong organizational and problem-solving skills.

Physical Requirements

  • Ability to stand, walk, bend, stoop, and work in a laboratory environment for extended periods.

  • Ability to lift and move materials up to 50 lbs.

  • Ability to wear required PPE including safety glasses, lab coat, gloves, safety apron, and other protective equipment as needed.

Pay Details: $20.00 per hour
