The Department of Radiology at VCU Health, Medical College of Virginia campus, is currently inviting applications for a full-time nuclear medicine radiologist. This full-time nuclear medicine radiologist will provide specialized imaging interpretation in the Division of Nuclear Medicine with the use of state-of-the-art equipment. They will also train residents within the large, highly productive academic radiology department. Duties and Responsibilities: Clinical – Provide high quality sub-specialized imaging interpretations for assigned modalities in support of the referring physicians and patients of the VCUHS.Responsibilities include all facets of nuclear medicine (general planar imaging, SPECT and SPECT/CT, PET/CT, nuclear cardiology and radiopharmaceutical therapies). Special interest or skills in acute care imaging, Oncology and Pediatric Imaging. Teaching – Provide training to medical students, residents & fellows who rotate through the Division of Nuclear Medicine including Nuclear Medicine residency, Radiology residency, Cardiology fellowship, Radiation Oncology residency, medical student elective and serve as advisor to Nuclear Medicine technologist program, School of Allied Health. Research – Oversight and implementation of clinical research involving Nuclear Medicine facilities, including review of protocols involving Nuclear Medicine imaging services and radiopharmaceuticals treatments. Service – Time and effort is expected to be devoted to academic service-related activities.This shall include college, school, and departmental committee work, professional growth, and other such assignments. Required qualifications: Demonstrated ability to workin and foster an environment of respect, professionalism and civility with a population of faculty, staff, and students fromall backgrounds and experiences, or a commitment to do so as a faculty member at VCU. Applicants should be Board Eligible/Certified in Nuclear Medicine with experience in the full scope of Nuclear Medicine services.
