Our client is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Staff Accountant to join their growing accounting team. Our client is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Staff Accountant to join their growing accounting team. This is an excellent opportunity for an accounting professional looking to expand their experience in a collaborative environment while gaining exposure to a variety of accounting functions.
Responsibilities:
- Prepare and post journal entries and maintain general ledger accounts
- Assist with month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close processes
- Perform bank and account reconciliations
- Analyze financial data and investigate account discrepancies
- Support accounts payable and accounts receivable functions as needed
- Prepare and maintain supporting schedules for financial reporting
- Assist with budgeting, forecasting, and audit preparation
- Ensure compliance with company policies and accounting procedures
- Participate in process improvement initiatives and special projects
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
- 2+ years of accounting experience preferred
- Strong understanding of accounting principles and financial reporting
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and accounting software/ERP systems
- Excellent analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Strong attention to detail and ability to meet deadlines
