Key Qualifications:
- Valid Special Education Teacher certification for Illinois

- Collaborative mindset for working with fellow teachers, aides, and support staff
Primary Responsibilities:
- Provide engaging instruction and differentiated support to middle school students with special needs
- Create, modify, and oversee Individualized Education Programs (IEPs), ensuring compliance with state and federal requirements
- Employ a variety of instructional strategies to accommodate students with a range of abilities and backgrounds
- Foster an environment where students feel seen, supported, and empowered
- Track student progress and communicate regularly with families and the multidisciplinary team
- Participate in professional development and contribute to building a positive school culture
This contract role offers a competitive hourly rate of $50/hr. The typical school day runs from 8am to 3:30pm, providing a consistent schedule that balances professional dedication with personal time.
