Delivery Supervisor, DSD

Job Description This position is required to be on-site in Elk Grove, CA (No Relocation Available). You will execute warehouse operations in terms of service, cost, health and safety, quality, food defense, sustainability, legal requirements and policy compliance. You will also work collaboratively with internal and external business partners to ensure effective management and timely solutions. How you will contribute The Supervisor, DSD Delivery is responsible for driving execution against all core KPI’s. Additional responsibilities include coaching drivers, managing customer interactions, standard work processes for IDSD Delivery Pillar, optimizing service, and ensuring cost management. Driver safety incidents/accidents, DUPH, OT%, driver review and management of high‑risk drivers across the branch. Secondary KPI’s: ePOD %, outbound reporting completion (LPN work), pre/post trip compliance, % HCC usage, OTD, indirect hours (non‑productive), driver methods %. Additional Responsibilities Manage day‑to‑day plans including order/route management, inventory management, employee performance, and daily communication with internal/external customers and stakeholders. Drive key KPIs under Safety, Service, Cost, and People categories. Safety: Reduce branch incident/accident rates, conduct roadside inspections, hold monthly safety/SHAPE meetings, perform pre/post‑trip inspections, and complete a branch safety audit. Service: Ensure accurate order fills (Target TQA / Walmart ASN accuracy), route compliance and on‑time deliveries. Participate in cross‑functional meetings (Demand/Fulfillment Planning, Retail, HQ Support). Cost: Achieve lowest cost per case by executing annual productivity plans, lean six sigma/BPE projects, and manage loss prevention network for waste and employee performance. People: Source, onboard, and develop direct reports; coach for career development and union/non‑union employee management. Coordinate hotel reservations for overnight drivers and process expenses. Lead monthly engagement initiatives, safety meetings, and generate reports for regional safety manager. Manage daily branch manifest logs, POD records, and driver route assignments. Schedule weekly LTL freight shipments and coordinate carrier documentation. Prepare and submit monthly Absentee Tracker KPI data and support driver methods training. Required Skills and Experience Experience with SAP and HHC (Driver Handheld). Driver’s Methods Training / Smith Systems Training and Zonar Reporting. Warehouse labor planning, route composition, and labor management (union). Managing employee performance, team building, and local planning team meetings. Federal and State regulatory compliance (DOT, OSHA, Workers’ Compensation, HR Policies). Education / Certifications Educational background in business, logistics, or related field (recommended but not required). 2–5 years of field logistics experience. Strong organizational ability and team/people development skills. Understanding of the consumer‑packaged goods (CPG) industry. Job Specific Requirements Front‑line leadership experience managing hourly union/non‑union employees. Enhanced skills in branch management and DSD processes and procedures. People development, team building, and customer orientation. Travel and Schedule Travel requirements: Less than 10%. Work schedule: 2nd Shift (1:30 PM to 10 PM). Salary and Benefits Base salary range: $77,600 to $106,700. Eligibility for a highly competitive bonus program based on performance and company results.
