Responsibilities
- Deliver physical therapy assistant services under the supervision of a licensed physical therapist within an LTAC/skilled nursing setting.
- Implement treatment plans including therapeutic exercises, ROM, strength training, gait training, balance activities, and functional mobility training.
- Monitor patient progress, document responses to therapy, adjust activities under PT direction, and communicate effectively with the care team.
- Assist with patient positioning, transfers, gait aid use, adaptive equipment, and safety protocols to prevent falls or injuries.
- Maintain accurate treatment notes, schedule and coordinate sessions, and ensure proper handoffs to nursing and therapy staff.
- Coordinate with staffing and agency requirements as described in the job notes (NM caregivers account).

Requirements
- Active Physical Therapy Assistant license in New Mexico or eligible for licensure.
- Associate degree from an accredited PTA program.
- Ability to work in a LTAC/skilled nursing setting and to cover the assigned shift (08:00–16:30).
- Strong communication and collaboration skills; ability to work with an interdisciplinary team.
- If sourcing through an agency, the vendor must have an NM caregivers account.
