Senior HR Generalist

As a Senior HR Generalist, you will play a pivotal role in supporting the company's growth by independently managing day‑to‑day HR operations and partnering with leadership on strategic initiatives. This is an on‑site, full‑time, exempt position that offers the opportunity to make a significant impact on the organization’s people, processes, and culture. Responsibilities Serve as the primary internal HR resource, managing daily HR operations and supporting leadership on strategic HR initiatives. Maintain HRIS and personnel records, ensuring accuracy and compliance with all record‑keeping requirements. Administer employee documentation, file management, and respond to HR inquiries. Assist with payroll processing as needed and act as a backup for payroll administration. Lead full‑cycle recruitment and onboarding for both exempt and non‑exempt positions, including new hire orientation and systems setup. Administer employee benefits programs and recommend enhancements to maintain competitiveness and satisfaction. Manage and evaluate compensation programs to ensure alignment with company philosophy and market standards. Develop and maintain personnel policies and procedures in compliance with state and federal regulations. Monitor and enforce policy compliance among management and employees. Act as the primary point of contact for employee and leadership inquiries, providing guidance and coaching to resolve issues. Conduct investigations into employee concerns and recommend appropriate resolutions. Support and coach managers in the performance review process, including goal setting and feedback. Partner with the Safety and Training Manager to track safety training, identify training needs, and implement development programs. Plan and manage employee engagement events and activities to foster a positive workplace culture. Provide direction and oversight to temporary HR staff as assigned. Contribute to strategic HR initiatives that support business objectives and provide insights based on HR analytics and best practices. Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field. Minimum of 4 years of progressive experience in multiple areas of human resources. Fluency inEnglish and Spanish (preferred), with strong verbal and written communication skills. Proficiency with HRIS systems and MS Office Suite. Strong knowledge of HR best practices and labor laws. Excellent organizational skills, attention to detail, and time management abilities. Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with discretion. Demonstrated ability to lead and influence at all levels of the organization. Experience analyzing and interpreting HR metrics and data. Ability to interpret and apply laws, regulations, and company policies to HR scenarios. Strong interpersonal skills and ability to build relationships with diverse teams. Experience as an HR department of one or as part of a small business HR team (under 150 employees) is preferred. Professional HR certification (e.g., SHRM-CP, SHRM-SCP, PHR, SPHR) is preferred. Experience working in a bilingual workforce environment is preferred.
