As an Armed Security Officer at a government location, you will conduct routine patrols, maintain a visible presence to help deter incidents, and respond professionally to security-related concerns. Position Type: Full Time Pay Rate: $22.26 / Hour Job Schedule: Thur: 05:00 PM - 12:00 AM Fri: 05:00 PM - 05:00 AM Sat: 05:00 PM - 05:00 AM Sun: 05:00 PM - 12:00 AM What You'll Do: Provide customer service to visitors, employees, and/or members of the public while carrying out site‑specific, security‑related procedures and emergency response activities as appropriate. Conduct regular and random armed patrols of government facilities, surrounding grounds, parking areas, and perimeter areas, with working conditions that may vary by location. Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem‑solving manner, following established post orders and applicable procedures. Monitor access points and observe activities throughout the location to help deter unauthorized access, suspicious activity, and/or policy violations. Prepare accurate reports and promptly communicate incidents, observations, and/or potential concerns to the appropriate personnel. Minimum Requirements: Possess an Armed Guard Card/License. Possess a DD214 with Honorable Discharge OR an Associates Degree/60 College Credits OR a Police Academy Certificate OR a Corrections Academy Certificate. Handcuffs/Pepper Spray/Baton are preferred. Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles. Possess a high school diploma or equivalent. As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws. Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws. As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law. Participate in industry‑specific security training programs. Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment. A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
