Job Summary
A Post Anesthesia Care Unit (PACU) registered nurse is sought for a healthcare provider in Lancaster, Ohio. This role involves providing post-operative patient care in the PACU setting, including assessment, monitoring, and patient education. The position offers an opportunity to contribute to patient recovery following anesthesia, working within established policies and procedures.

Job Details

• Schedule: 8-hour shifts, minimum of 40 hours per week.
• Required Qualifications: Valid license to practice in the State of Ohio; completion of an accredited nursing program resulting in a Diploma in Nursing, Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN), or Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN); CPR certification; 0+ years of clinical experience in a PACU or equivalent setting.
• Preferred Qualifications: Experience specifically in post-anesthesia patient care is highly desirable.
• Additional Information: The registered nurse will assess, plan, implement, and evaluate nursing care for each patient according to the nursing process. Responsibilities include administering medications, monitoring patient recovery, documenting care accurately, and communicating pertinent observations to physicians. Physical capacity demands include frequent patient handling activities, with potential exertion of 25 to 50 pounds of force. This role requires cognitive focus, critical-thinking skills, emotional regulation, and the ability to manage urgent situations calmly. The position begins on 08/17/2026, with shifts scheduled for 8 hours daily.
