Assistant Property Manager, Multifamily – Madison Yards ( ) Responsibilities Ensure the smooth running of the community in a fast‑paced environment. Assist the Property Manager with overall operations, including maintenance, capital improvements, lease administration, budgeting, forecasting, reporting, collections, evictions, vacancy anticipation, marketing, lease renewals, service contracts, expense control, audits, and related tasks. Provide superior customer service and communication to residents and prospects to enhance satisfaction, increase renewals, revenue, reputation, and profitability. Complete lease/renewal paperwork to company standards and track and evaluate advertising and client traffic. Maintain and model the Cushman&Wakefield mission and ensure that all policies and procedures are followed. Assist with day‑to‑day operations of the entire on‑site team, interviewing, hiring, coaching staff, and ensuring effective staffing. Maintain residents’ files in accordance with company standards. Resolve resident conflicts promptly and follow up consistently to maintain a positive living environment. Manage and maintain all aspects of the community budget and finances. Work with leasing staff to ensure that leasing and marketing goals are met. Competencies Effective communication and customer service skills. Computer literate, including Microsoft Office Suite and internet navigation. General office, bookkeeping, and sales skills with excellent oral and written communication. Ability to determine leasing opportunities for staff and work on goal setting to improve performance. Supervisory experience, managing a team, and ensuring adherence to C&W policies and procedures. Perform any other related duties as required or assigned. Education Preferred: Bachelor’s Degree. Required: High School Diploma, GED, technical or vocational school completion. Experience 3+ years on‑site Property Management experience required, including leasing and resident support duties. Strong preference for 1+ years on‑site Assistant Property Manager experience, including rent collection and delinquency process. Yardi systems experience strongly preferred. Strong preference for prior luxury, Class‑A property experience, ideally in the Madison, WI market. Physical Demands May need to stand and walk for extended periods, ascend and descend staircases, ladders, and step stools. May be required to travel outside between properties in varying weather conditions, up to 15% of the time. Ability to exert up to 25 pounds occasionally or frequently to lift, carry, push, pull, or move objects. Regularly remain in a stationary position (sit or stand) for 85% of the time. Compensation & Benefits Compensation: $25.50 – $30.00 per hour, depending on location, experience, and qualification. Competitive pay may vary based on location, hire date, total hours, job type, business line, and collective bargaining agreements. Position will not be paid less than minimum wage.
