Certified Outpatient Coding Specialist

To enhance reimbursement processes, the full-time remote Certified Outpatient Coding Specialist will facilitate data collection and coding accuracy for outpatient accounts, including training staff and collaborating with various departments. Key responsibilities Create educational materials and teams for coding consistency and updates Assist in training new and existing coding specialists while conducting audits of coded records Collaborate with Revenue Cycle, Quality Service, and Finance Departments to optimize reimbursement processes Required qualifications Associate degree in health information or related field preferred; bachelor's degree is preferred AHIMA or AAPC certification is required Minimum of 2 years of coding experience required; 3 years preferred Experience in ICD-10-CM and CPT coding is required Proficiency in MS Office and familiarity with 3M software is preferred
