Job Title: Travel Operating Room (OR) / Surgical RN – 4-Day Work Week (Tuesday–Friday)

Job Description: Are you an experienced Surgical Nurse who lives for the outdoors? Malone Healthcare is fast-tracking submissions for a premium 13-week travel contract at Heart of the Rockies Regional Medical Center (HRRMC) in Salida, Colorado.

This position features a highly coveted 4x10 day schedule (Tuesday through Friday) , completely freeing up your Saturdays and Sundays! Located in the breathtaking Upper Arkansas Valley, Salida is surrounded by public lands, world-class trout fishing, whitewater rafting, and is just 18 miles from Monarch Mountain.

Position Highlights:

• Location: Salida, CO (Heart of the Rocky Mountains)
• Facility: Heart of the Rockies Regional Medical Center
• Specialty: Operating Room (OR) / Surgical Services RN
• Shift: 10-Hour Days (06:30 AM – 05:00 PM) | Tuesday through Friday
• Hours: 40 hours per week guaranteed * Duration: 13 weeks

Clinical Scope & Call Requirements:

• Provide total perioperative nursing care, coordinating smoothly with surgeons, anesthesia providers, and surgical techs.
• On-Call Rotation: Must participate in an equitable call schedule that includes weekday nights and weekend coverage.

Position Requirements:

• Experience: Minimum 3 years of recent, continuous hospital Operating Room/Surgical experience is strictly required.
• Licensure: Active Colorado or multi-state Compact RN license in hand.
• Certifications: Current AHA BLS, ACLS, and PALS must be active prior to start.
• Attributes: High autonomy, strong team-player attitude, and a love for tight-knit community hospital settings.
