Weekend shift required every 2 weeks.

Job Description

The Registered Nurse in the Step Down unit will provide care for adult patients. This role requires expertise in managing patient care during evening and weekend shifts, ensuring adherence to protocols that promote effective treatment and recovery.

Responsibilities

• Administer medications and monitor patient vitals
• Provide patient education and support
• Maintain accurate patient records in Epic
• Coordinate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure optimal patient care
• Assist in the management of clinical protocols and procedures

Required Experience

• Minimum of 2 years of nursing experience
• Previous charge experience is preferred
• Experience with patient ratios of 5:1
• Must have EPIC experience
• Travel experience is required

Certifications/Licensure

• Active RN License
• ACLS and BLS Certifications required
• NIHSS Certification required
