About This Role

We are seeking a versatile and dependable Substitute Teacher to support students in Washington, Indiana. In this role, you will step into various early childhood classrooms to deliver lesson plans, maintain an organized learning environment, and ensure educational continuity when regular teachers are absent. This position offers a flexible schedule and the opportunity to make a meaningful impact within our local early childhood community.

What You'll Do

• Assist with providing classroom instruction by following the absent teacher's lesson plans and daily schedule.
• Maintain a safe, positive, and productive learning environment for all students.
• Manage classroom behavior effectively using established school policies and routines.
• Complete precise daily attendance records and discuss progress notes with the returning teacher.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent qualification.
• Successful completion of a drug screen.
• Successful completion of a comprehensive background check and fingerprinting.
• Strong communication skills and the ability to adapt quickly.

Nice To Haves

• Previous experience working with children or youth in an educational setting.
• General knowledge or education of early childhood education.
• Active certification in CPR and First Aid.
