Summary The Quality Technician is responsible for facilitating and supporting Quality Assurance processes and NFPA 1901, NFPA 1900, and/or ULC-S515 requirements, which lead to the reduction/removal of defects throughout the value stream. Job Responsibilities , Promote the expectation that team members will consider the impact of their work/actions on others and make deliberate decisions to act in ways which prevent rework or constraints on the process. The Quality Technician is a coach, cheerleader and player on the team. Promote systems and processes which enhance the team’s ability to meet customer expectations (NFPA 1901 regulations, Buy/Sell Agreements, UL requirements) Act as mediator when needed to clarify customer expectations and provide feedback to manufacturing supervision Perform Pre-Delivery Inspections of completed processes in designated buy/sell areas Perform data entry, analysis and sharing/explanation of information Generate Quality reports and be able to explain information Validate all critical and safety items as required by the Build Book Review all deviations, quality alerts, and stop shipments Perform audits of new and existing processes Writing documents and document control (examples: UL documentation, UL certifications) Facilitate/Participate in Root Cause Analysis, Practical Problem Solving, etc. Initiate non-conforming material documents for supplier quality issues Assist in the execution of activities which promote continuous improvement and protect customers Conduct training, information sharing, and orientation sessions Lead by example regarding safety and acting in the best interests of the team Provide coverage for other technicians as needed (UL and Plant Quality Techs) Any other duties as assigned by the Quality Manager or Smeal Management #J-18808-Ljbffr REV Group, Inc
