Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) degree, active Pharmacist license, and minimum 1+ years Pharmacist experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.
A healthcare facility in Charlotte, MI is seeking a skilled Staff Pharmacist with experience in hospital inpatient pharmacy operations. This contract role offers the opportunity to contribute to patient care by efficiently managing medication dispensing within a hospital setting.
Responsibilities:
- Accurately dispense and distribute prescription medications to inpatient hospital units.
- Review and verify medication orders for appropriateness and potential interactions.
- Collaborate with healthcare professionals to optimize pharmacotherapy plans.
- Maintain compliance with pharmacy laws, regulations, and hospital policies.
- Participate in medication inventory management and control.
- Provide guidance and education to nursing staff and patients regarding medication usage.
- Document all pharmaceutical services and interventions in patient records.
Qualifications/Desired Experience:
- Valid pharmacist licensure in the state of Michigan.
- Proven experience as a Staff Pharmacist, specifically in a hospital inpatient setting.
- Strong knowledge of hospital pharmacy operations and inpatient medication management.
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a multidisciplinary team.
- Excellent communication and organizational skills.
