Arkansas Talent Group is seeking a detail-oriented Human Resources Coordinator for a respected, growing organization in Central Arkansas. This is a temp-to-hire opportunity for an HR professional who enjoys supporting employees, improving processes, and serving as a trusted administrative partner to a collaborative Human Resources team.

In this role, the HR Coordinator will provide broad support across recruiting, onboarding, employee relations, benefits administration, records management, safety compliance, and general HR operations. The ideal candidate brings strong organization, discretion, communication skills, and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.

What You'll Do

• Serve as a first point of contact for employee questions regarding HR policies, procedures, benefits, and workplace programs.
• Provide day-to-day administrative support to the HR department, including maintaining confidential employee files, processing documentation, preparing reports, and organizing records.
• Coordinate recruitment activities, including posting open positions, reviewing applications, communicating with candidates, scheduling interviews, and supporting hiring managers throughout the selection process.
• Assist with new-hire onboarding and pre-employment requirements, including background checks, reference checks, drug-screen coordination, credential verification, and required paperwork.
• Support HR initiatives such as benefits open enrollment, employee communications, engagement events, company meetings, and special projects.
• Compile and prepare data for HR reporting, compliance needs, and workforce-related analysis.
• Help administer safety and compliance programs by maintaining documentation, monitoring requirements, and supporting recommendations based on regulatory updates and workplace trends.
• Provide general office and clerical support, including answering phones, distributing mail, ordering supplies, and assisting with departmental coordination.
• Handle sensitive employee information with professionalism, discretion, and a high level of confidentiality.
• Perform additional duties and special projects as assigned.

What We're Looking For

• Associate degree, technical degree, or equivalent combination of education and relevant HR, administrative, recruiting, or office-support experience.
• At least 6 months to 1 year of related experience preferred; candidates with strong administrative experience and an interest in growing within HR are encouraged to apply.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to communicate effectively with employees, managers, candidates, and external partners.
• Demonstrated organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to manage deadlines while handling multiple competing priorities.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, including Outlook, Word, Excel, and Teams.
• Experience with HRIS, applicant tracking systems, payroll platforms, or safety-management systems is a plus.
• Sound judgment, professionalism, dependability, and a commitment to maintaining confidentiality.
• Ability to work independently while contributing positively to a team-oriented environment.
• Valid driver's license and clean driving record may be required.
