Basic Job Functions: Nucor Warehouse Systems is hiring for a careful Forklift Operator to move racks, bundles, and material around our facilities. The forklift operator will operate a forklift with the utmost care to ensure efficiency and safety. The job could involve driving around warehouses, storage spaces and other facilities. The forklift operator must be a responsible individual with great experience in driving industrial vehicles, specifically, a sit-down forklift. The goal will be to ensure that material and products will always be at the right place to achieve maximum efficiency. Basic Job Functions:

The goal will be to ensure that material and products will always be at the right place to achieve maximum efficiency. Basic Job Functions:
- Locate, pull, and bring orders using a sit-down forklift
- Identify damages and report shortages or quality deficiencies
- Transport raw materials to production workstations
- Keep updated records of inventory and activity logs; keep track of inventory
- Comply with company policies and legal guidelines
- Help maintain a safe and orderly environment of the facilities
- Other duties as assigned
- Proven experience as a sit-down forklift operator
- Valid certification to operate forklifts required; we will also certify through company
- Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs.
- Must be able to work any shift as required, overtime, weekends and holidays; must be able to work a modifiable schedule.
- Previous experience working for a manufacturing company
- Attention to detail and familiarity with industrial equipment
- Basic math skills to keep track of inventory
