Job Summary & Qualifications We are seeking a Medical Surgical Registered Nurse Manager who will provide leadership and expertise to ensure all patients receive high quality, efficient care in a surgical environment. Responsibilities include: Lead and manage patient care for assigned departments on a 24-hour basis. Ensure nursing practice standards, policies and procedures meet legal, accrediting and regulatory agency requirements. Maintain continuity of care through interdisciplinary teamwork. Collaborate with physicians, patients, and other health team members to discuss patient progress and treatment. Develop and implement programs to measure, monitor, assess and improve quality of nursing care, aligning with core hospital-wide improvement goals. Coordinate patient care with other services and departments throughout the hospital. Qualifications: Licensed Registered Nurse in the state of Florida. Nursing diploma or ASN required; BSN preferred. American Heart Association Basic Life Support (BLS) certification. Previous experience in an acute care setting strongly preferred. Strong critical thinking, service excellence, interpersonal skills, reading comprehension, verbal instruction following, and PC skills.
