Social Media Content Creator

About the Position

Blukers, Inc. is seeking a creative, outgoing, and motivated Social Media Content Creator to join our growing marketing team.

This is a hands-on content creation role for someone who enjoys social media, short-form video, photography, storytelling, and being in front of the camera. The Content Creator will serve as a regular on-camera presence for the Blukers brand while helping develop engaging content that strengthens our online presence and supports company marketing goals. 

The ideal candidate is energetic, organized, comfortable communicating with others, and eager to grow their skills in marketing and digital content creation. This is a great opportunity for an early-career candidate, recent graduate, or someone with internship, freelance, school, or personal content creation experience who wants to build their professional portfolio.

Responsibilities

• Serve as a regular on-camera presence in Blukers' social media and short-form video content.
• Develop, film, edit, and publish engaging content for Instagram, Facebook, TikTok, LinkedIn, and other platforms.
• Create short-form videos, including Reels, TikToks, promotional videos, employee features, company updates, and other creative content.
• Take photos and videos of employees, company activities, events, projects, and other relevant subjects.
• Generate creative concepts for social media posts, campaigns, promotions, and company initiatives.
• Create graphics and visual content using Canva, Adobe Creative Suite, or similar tools.
• Write captions, social copy, and other basic marketing content that reflects the Blukers brand.
• Develop supporting content for company websites, blogs, and email campaigns.
• Maintain and manage the social media content calendar to ensure consistent and timely posting.
• Research industry trends, social media trends, sounds, formats, and content opportunities.
• Monitor comments, messages, engagement, reach, views, and audience activity across platforms.
• Assist with analyzing content performance and recommending adjustments based on results.
• Optimize content for SEO and in-platform search to improve visibility.
• Maintain consistent branding, messaging, tone, and visual standards across content.
• Collaborate with the Marketing Strategist and other departments to gather content and support marketing initiatives.
• Participate in content planning and brainstorming meetings and contribute new creative ideas.
• Support company events, community outreach, recruiting campaigns, and promotional activities.
• Edit and proofread content for accuracy, quality, and consistency.
• Assist with additional marketing and content-related projects as needed.

• Basic understanding of Instagram, Facebook, TikTok, LinkedIn, and short-form video content.
• Comfortable taking photos and recording video.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.

• Reliable, organized, and professional.
• Comfortable working independently and collaboratively.
• Able to manage multiple assignments and meet deadlines.
• Willing to approach employees and team members to gather content when needed.
• Interested in learning about marketing, branding, social media, and digital content.
• Able to receive feedback and make revisions to creative work.
• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• College coursework or a bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, Journalism, Advertising, Digital Media, Public Relations, or a related field is preferred but not required.
• Hands-on experience creating on-camera or social media content may be considered in place of formal education.
• Previous professional marketing experience is not required.
• Candidates with internship, freelance, school, student organization, personal brand, or professional content creation experience are encouraged to apply.
• A portfolio or examples of social media, video, photography, or creative work are strongly encouraged. 

Bilingual in English and Spanish is preferred, but not required.

Salary: $45,000 annually

This is a full-time, in-person position with opportunities for growth based on performance, skill development, and increased responsibilities.
