Senior Tax Accountant

Please read first: this role is hybrid in Great Neck, NY, three days a week on site. Great Neck is about 25 minutes from Penn Station on the LIRR Port Washington line. If you cannot reliably be in the Great Neck office three days a week, this is not the right fit.

The firm focuses on tax planning and wealth management for high net worth individuals and privately held businesses, and the work leans toward proactive planning rather than year-end cleanup.

• Salary range of $85,000 to $125,000 depending on experience

Job Details

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare and review federal and state tax returns for high net worth individuals, partnerships, S-corps, and trusts
• Manage ongoing client relationships and serve as a trusted advisor
• Conduct tax research and provide planning recommendations
• Supervise and mentor junior team members
• Support leadership on complex compliance and planning engagements
• Identify tax savings opportunities and communicate them proactively to clients

You should have xhyhwjd most of the following

• 3 or more years of public accounting or high net worth tax experience
• CPA license or CPA eligible preferred
• Experience with individual, trust, partnership, or estate taxation
• Familiarity with wealth management tax planning concepts is a plus
• Strong organizational and communication skills
• Proficiency in CCH, UltraTax, or comparable tax software
• Able to commute to Great Neck, NY three days a week
