Corner Marshall (Part Time) Job Description Corner marshals are responsible for ensuring the track is a safe environment for drivers of all vehicles on the race track. Positioned at various points around the track, they use a combination of flag and radio communication to inform both drivers and Race Control of the current track conditions. Essential Functions Work in a fast paced environment. Use flags to communicate track conditions to vehicles on the race track. Use radios to communicate track conditions to Race Control. Use good judgement to determine safe vs. unsafe track conditions. Requirements Demonstrates good, clear communication skills. Candidate must be flexible on hours, able to work weekends and non-regular hours. Ability to multi‑task. Ability to work individually as well as part of a team. Though Part Time shifts are full day shifts. Physical Demands Ability to lift and/or move up to 25 lbs. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk, hear, and listen. Ability to sit, stand, use hands to handle or feel, and reach with hands and arms. Specific vision abilities required by this job include depth perception. Work Environment While performing the duties of this position, the employee is occasionally exposed to work near moving mechanical parts, wet or humid conditions, outdoor weather conditions, extreme cold, and extreme heat. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate but is loud during. Weekday availability preferred.
